The old computer in the corner still runs the same word processor it ran thirty years ago. It has never asked for an update. It has never moved a button.

A small group of developers wants software to feel more like that: tools that do one thing, change rarely, and respect the habits of the people who use them.

Slower software is not slower to use. It is slower to change, and that is the point.
